Take C.A.R.E. Coaching (TCC) is a proactive and responsive behavioral and communication approach that facilitates life, growth, and health within relationships through effective communication and emotion-regulation.
Proactive TCC stops problems before they arise and highlights desired behavior.
Responsive TCC stops problems when they arise and highlights desired behavior.
It is easy enough for children to use and at the same time suitable for any adult relationship.
The most important relationship TCC addresses however; is the one we have with ourselves—our inner self. The use of TCC ensures that we are able to respond to, interact within, and create a world around us from a grounded and secure perspective.
TCC is multifaceted and very versatile. In addition to the relationships we have with ourselves and others TCC can be used for broad settings, like for setting the tone of a classroom, home, or workplace.
TCC stands apart in that it’s easy to remember, use, and evaluate. It incorporates leading theories within the fields of psychology, parenting, and behavioral management into one approach with vast opportunities for application.
Lastly, TCC is NOT scripted and does NOT demand perfection. It is a guideline for communication and a checklist for troubleshooting when relationships need a little TLC (tender loving C.A.R.E.).
Take C.A.R.E. Coaching (TCC) is already an integral part of Mrs. Thompson-Lee's counseling approach.
The vision of the TCC approach is for children and caretakers to thrive within environments that are nurturing, engaging, challenging, and safe to grow within.
The MISSION of the TCC approach is to form interconnected communities, where members (students, parents, educators, and mentors) are interpersonally and intrapersonally connected. Within an atmosphere of hope, this will be achieved by:
1. Teaching emotional literacy;
2. Fostering emotional regulation;
3. Building self-esteem, self-efficacy, persistence and resilience; and
4. Developing critical thinking skills,
1. TCC’s first goal is for every child to be able to demonstrate mastery with the following “CARES” goals:
– Cooperation
– Assertiveness
– Responsibility
– Empathy, and
– Self-Control
2. TCC’s second goal is for every caretaker to be able to attune to their children’s needs and coach their children toward “CARES” success.
There are three (3) TCC objectives that are tailored to optimally function for any relationship or setting. Contact Mrs. Thompson-Lee for more information.
